Zach serves as NAfME’s Public Policy and Communications Manager. In this role, Zach focuses on federal public policy and engaging with Members of Congress and the U.S. Department of Education. Zach will also play a lead role in staffing the Music Education Policy Roundtable.

Prior to joining NAfME, Zach was a dedicated political advocate on several issues and most recently taught middle school Latin in the Washington DC area. Zach graduated from the University of Kansas in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Classical Antiquity. In his personal life, Zach enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and of course, listening to music.
