Hilary Goldblatt is the Orchestra Director and Flute Ensemble coach at Bainbridge-Guilford High School. Prior to starting her new position in NY, Hilary taught instrumental music in the Montpelier, Vermont public schools for 16 years. Hilary earned a Master’s in Flute Performance from the University of Michigan School of Music in Ann Arbor, where she studied with Amy Porter. As an undergraduate, she performed with the Yale Symphony Orchestra in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to Korea. Hilary loves playing the works of contemporary composers with the musicians of TURNmusic in Vermont, celebrating their 10th season in 2024. Hilary is particularly proud that she has encouraged many of her students to become music composers and creators and is overjoyed that they continue to pursue it outside of class! She and her husband live in Oneonta, NY with their two sons. They are all avid skiers who love exploring the mountains together.
